Hi, I’m Vanessa!

The founder and creative mind behind Sip and Pair.
The name is an homage to wine and the art of pairing, a passion that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I grew up with a father who was deeply passionate about wine and owned a vineyard. From a young age, he would take me there to teach me about the vines, the harvest, and the craftsmanship behind every bottle.

Harvest seasons became cherished family traditions, where my uncles, cousins, and I worked side by side, learning and celebrating the process together.

As I got older, that early exposure evolved into a personal journey. I began traveling to wine regions around the world, eager to experience diverse wine cultures and expand my understanding beyond what I knew at home.

Being Italian, food has always been just as important as wine in my life. I was raised in a household of incredible cooks, from my mother to my grandmother and close family friends.

Gathering around the table, making fresh pasta, and sharing meals shaped my appreciation for how powerful food and wine can be when paired thoughtfully. It is a tradition I still carry with me today, and one I love sharing, even through simple moments like making pasta with my dad’s friend and cook, Raniero.

To further deepen my knowledge, I pursued formal wine education and completed my WSET Level 3 certification. Today, Sip and Pair reflects both my roots and my ongoing exploration.

It is a space where I share my passion for wine, thoughtful pairings, and the stories that connect them.
